Pulse is an office building with a usable area of 28,869 sqm spread over seven floors. The core of the structure – a vast atrium – is covered by a glass roof that lets nature into the wooden lobby. Wood is found in all parts of the building, creating a warm, quiet and peaceful working environment.
Services and facilities for employees, including three dining areas, are located around the atrium on the ground floor. An urban garden and terraces are located on the top floor. Food grown in the garden is cooked in the cafeteria.
The geometric composition of the large windows creates a mosaic motif on the façade. This motif stops above the entrance, giving way to a large green terrace.
This structure, which will house the headquarters of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, features a mullion and transom type façade made of mechanically retained aluminium with insulating glass infills.
It integrates full glass structural openings and doors of different types on the ground floor. The building is clad in a protective shell of shaped aluminium profiles in three colours that shine in the sunlight.
The choice and use of materials allowed Pulse to have a low environmental impact and be identified as a low carbon building, achieving HQE Excellence and BREEAM Excellence certifications.
