Simeon has created the new AirFrance lounge that serves the passengers of terminal 2F Inside the Charles-De-Gaulle airport area, for the client Aeroport de Paris.
In particular, Simeon dealt with:
• construction of the structure in metallic carpentry including the laying of the corrugated sheets of the collaborating floors entirely produced in our factory in Fagagna;
• laying of the flat and curved covering of the roof and the verriere in Kalzip;
• laying of the curved verriere that allows passengers to have a view of the airport runways;
• laying of side façades;;
• construction of the connecting walkway between the terminal and the salon.
The mullions of the verriere form the main element of the curved canopy of the AirFrance salon. These are uprights made through the welding of metal plates suitably shaped according to the geometry identified by the architect. In the traversi of the verriere there is room for the housing of the LED lighting of the hall.
An important goal of the project was the replacement of the old curved façade that constituted the oeil de piste of terminal 2F. The architects, wanted to recover the old structure, and as a result of improvements, it was modified to allow the insertion of the walkway that connects the salon to terminal 2F.
